I recently went out and shot a few photos of the new helicopter that was placed on the lawn of the Geneva County Courthouse. The helicopter got the addition of spotlights during the week of the Festival on the Rivers. The display is a reminder of our close relationship with Ft. Rucker.

Recently I had a fall that resulted in a shattered leg and a dislocated foot/ankle. I had to have surgery and was told that I would not be able to place any weight on the ankle for at least 10 weeks. Jarid Bates came all the way from Ohio to have his senior portraits made! He was actually down to visit his grandparents in Ponce De Leon and his mother wanted to have his photographs done at LaMarra's because that is where she had hers done in the late 1980's when she was a senior! Geneva has lost a great friend this morning as Mayor Hugh Herring has passed away. He was 82. Mayor Herring served as Mayor for 36 years and was a councilman before that.
